PATH Community

Our research indicates that a successful wellness program includes the following elements:

  • Setting Health Goals
  • Year-long Progress Tracking
  • Feeling of Belonging & Support
  • Opportunity to Celebrate Successes

Set Goals. PATH participants use the web-based program to set their own goals and track their own progress. They can see results over a period of months, or across an entire year.

Track Progress. Participants can set goals and track success weekly, over months and into a year. They can track their individual results and measure their progress against their peer group if they choose.

Participants track progress in the following areas of health:

  • Physical Activity - in energy equivalents of calories burned
  • Muscular Strength - in number of workouts per week
  • Flexibility - in number of sessions per week
  • Eating Well - in calories eaten or balanced servings per day
  • Character Strengths - in activities you can do to bolster your own sense of happiness or life satisfaction

Belong. Participants can also join the Community on one of hundreds of teams. If they choose, they can measure their progress as compared to other members of the Community.

Celebrate! PATH’s programs have been developed to create a sense of community that gives participants the motivation to reach their goals. This means that participants not only celebrate their individual achievements in the program, but also the shared goals of their teammates and teams.
